Probiotic and nitrifying bacteria Tropic Marin® NITRIBIOTIC is a combination of probiotic and nitrifying bacteria in only one preparation to improve water quality and strengthen the defences of fish and shrimps. The nitrifying bacteria effectively start the nitrification process, i.e. the decomposition of toxic ammonia to non-toxic nitrate. The purple bacteria contained oxidize toxic hydrogen sulfide to non-toxic sulfur and sulfate. Probiotic bacteria and yeasts have a proven positive effect on the health and well-being of fish and shrimps, especially during rearing.
