Dendrophyllidae LPS Stony corals
Dendrophyllidae are a small heterogeneous group. They contain the azooxanthellate Tubastrea, which must be fed in the marine aquarium. The other Dendrophyllidae have zooxanthellae and grow towards the light. The turbinates grow as yellow, green or brown cups quickly upwards. The beard coral Duncanopsammia has large polyps to catch plankton.
