The refractometer is an optical precision instrument for the exact determination of the salt content in saltwater aquaria. With a few drops the salt concentration is determined within seconds. It can be read off either as absolute salinity (salinity) in per mille (‰ , ppt) or as density. The principle of operation is based on the determination of the refractive index. This is directly dependent on the salinity of the solutions. Scope of delivery: refractometer, pipette for applying the water drop, screwdriver for calibration and stable plastic box.
