White Sand is characterised by the following properties: - White Sand consists of 99.6% calcium and magnesium carbonate and is, due to its purity, ideally suited as an aquarium substrate. - White Sand is very white and therefore has good reflective properties. - White Sand reflects the light waves of the aquarium lighting and thereby creates an additional diffuse light radiation from the bottom, which benefits your light-hungry corals. - White Sand has a bulk density of 1.45 kg/litre and is therefore heavier than coral sand, which results in considerably less drifting by current pumps. application: White Sand should be rinsed several times before use in the aquarium. Dust components caused by abrasion during transport should be rinsed off. Rinse until the water is as clear as possible. We recommend a layer thickness of 2-3 cm in the aquarium. For DSB (Deep Sand Bed) at least 8 cm.
