Algae in saltwater aquariums can be a major problem, as they can attack the bottom substrate, stone structure and corals. Most types of algae are very stubborn and are difficult to control. NO3PO4 Control is the ideal tool for this, because NO3PO4 Control biologically reduces the nutrients in the tank. Nitrates and phosphates nourish the algae. Together with too much light, this leads directly to algae bloom. NO3PO4 is dosed daily at 1g per 100 liters of aquarium water in case of acute infestation until it subsides, then or as a preventive measure at 1g per 100 liters of aquarium water weekly. By reducing the nutrients, algae bloom is generally prevented to a large extent.
