TM pH test fresh water

For the determination of the pH-value in freshwater aquariums The pH value or "acidity" indicates how acidic or basic (alkaline) a water is. Pure water reacts neutrally and has a pH value of 7. If the acidic components predominate, the pH value decreases (pH < 7), if the basic components predominate, the pH value increases (pH > 7). Many organisms react extremely sensitively to strong fluctuations in the pH value. In freshwater aquariums, the optimum pH range for most fish and plants is between 6.5 and 7.2, but special biotopes also have different pH values. Strong fluctuations as well as a too strong decrease or increase of the pH-value should be avoided at all costs and the acidity level in the tank should therefore be checked regularly. The pH reagent specially developed for freshwater allows the pH value to be checked using a finely tuned colour scale on which a range of 5.8 to 8.4 pH units is shown.
