Zeolite 1000ml can

Zeolites are water-containing, feldspar-like silicate minerals. The inner and outer surfaces can be up to 600 sqm / ccm. These enormous surfaces offer an ideal habitat for e.g. nitrogen-degrading microorganisms. These properties make zeolites natural ion exchangers, e.g. adsorption capacity for ammonium. In addition to being ion exchangers, zeolites are mechanical filters like hardly any other substrate due to their porous fine structure. Heavy metals and toxic metabolic products are adsorbed and chemically and biologically converted. Dosage: 1 litre of zeolite per 400 litres of aquarium water. At the first use this amount should be reached over several weeks, i.e. start with 10% of the indicated amount and increase weekly by another 10%. After 3 months the zeolite should be completely replaced. Grit size: 4 - 8mm
