MacroalgaeBreeder MAB220

MacroAlgen-Breeder (MAB), is an algae refuge in which the macroalgae cultivated in it reduce excess nutrients such as nitrate and phosphate dissolved in the aquarium water. Harvesting the algae growing in the MacroAlgae Breeder removes unwanted nutrients from the aquarium water. The harvested algae can: - Disposed of for permanent discharge of nutrients. - or serve algae-eating fish as natural food, Best suited for use in the macro algae breeder are e.g. Gracilaria curtissiae or Chaetomorpha linum. The MAB is equipped with a special algae growth promoting LED tube as light source. The water is supplied via a hose connection to the central pump of the aquarium or a separate feed pump (not included in the scope of delivery).
