Marine yellow substances such as humic acid are formed by biological material during the degradation process and absorb blue light. Water without this yellow tinge allows light to pass through unhindered, so that corals and aquatic plants benefit from the improved light supply. In addition, the aquarium keeper can see his fish in their natural colours. Tropic Marin® has developed the ELIMI-CONTROL CARBON filter to combat substances which cause the aquarium water to turn yellowish. The Tropic Marin® ELIMI-CONTROL CARBON Filter Set is a slow filter system for the sustainable and particularly effective removal of yellowish tones. The system consists of a pump and a replaceable filter cartridge filled with activated carbon CARBON, which can be easily inserted, exchanged and extended, completely independent of other filter systems. The individually adjustable flow rate and the highly effective activated carbon reduce the concentration of yellow and other pollutants in the aquarium water permanently.
